Family Run Since 1948

Three generations strong

Shaw City Engines is a family-owned business that specializes in automotive engine rebuilding for vintage, classic, and muscle car enthusiasts. The business was started in 1948 by my father fresh out of the Marine Corps, where he served six years as a CorsAir fighter pilot and survived World War II. It began as an auto parts and generator/starter rebuilding business.  In 1950, my dad debuted a second location in Selma, CA.  Fifteen short years later, in 1965, the Fresno (current) location was unveiled.  I grew up in the business,by age 4 was disassembling carburetor cores, so it is all I have ever known.  In 1979, I succeeded my father and began running the shop full-time.

I love what I do; rebuilding and restoring engines is a passion of mine, as well as corvettes and 1936 Fords.   Flying is also in my blood, as it is my father's.  I have been married for 28 years to my beautiful wife and have 3 wonderful children.  My son is now also an integral part of the business and days away from following in the family footsteps.  Here at Shaw City Engines, we take great pride and pleasure in putting the best possible product forward.  I owe much thanks to all my past and future customers, without them I wouldn't get to do what I love.  I have built engines for the garage restorer, the corvette enthusiast, all the way to the Barrett Jackson purists. Since 1948, we have grown from a small, local business to a worldwide distributor.
